Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust mark one year with Woodward’s clinical encoder, SimpleCode!

As part of their digital transformation journey, Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are marking one year with Woodward’s clinical encoder, SimpleCode!

Home to 1.6 million people, the Trust provides health services to Fylde Coast, Lancashire and South Cumbria, making coding accuracy essential in delivering optimal patient care.

Last year Blackpool upgraded its Patient Administration System (PAS), provided by IMS MAXIMS for over three decades, to the latest version of MAXIMS, which fully integrates with SimpleCode.

The implementation was a major advancement in the Trust's digital maturity, which, alongside accurate clinical coding, will help improve patient care while enhancing the experience for staff.
